Hyperbaric Therapy is used by many athletes to get there bodies in top shape.

Studies of Hyperbaric therapy has shown results of:

  • Decreases in resting heart rate, a metabolic function which is directly dependant on oxygen utilization.
  • A decrease in recovery time.  This serves as indicator  that oxygen is being transported to the working muscles quicker and more efficiently.  This may also indicate a more efficient absorption and utilization of lactic acid in the working muscles.
  • Ratings of perceived exertion were decreased.

History of Hyperbaric Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has existed for over 50 years.  In Japan every hospital is equipped with a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.  Over 3000 hyperbaric oxygen chambers exist in China.  It is slowly evolving into mainstream medicine in the United States.  There are approximately 400 hyperbaric chambers in the united states.

Many athletes, including Lance Armstrong, professional football, hockey and basketball players use HBO therapy to speed-heal injuries and muscle strain, quickly repair broken bones, heal wounds, burns and increase endurance.

Latest research proves a dramatic increase (2x's) of stem cell production after a single treatment.
